Privacy Policy

This guide covers privacy policy for Australian readers — practical, current, and tested by our team.

What we collect (Privacy policy)

When you visit whatasleep.com.au we collect anonymous traffic data through Google Analytics 4 — page views, referrers, approximate region, device type. If you submit our contact form we hold your name, email and message until we’ve answered you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you reply.

Cookies

We use cookies for caching, analytics and (where you click an affiliate link) to credit the referring partner. You can block cookies in your browser without breaking the site. Affiliate cookies typically last 24 hours to 30 days depending on the partner network.

Affiliate disclosure

Our reviews include affiliate links. If you click through and buy, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay no more than you would have. Commission rates vary, and we choose products on merit, not on the size of the cheque.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics 4 (analytics), Google AdSense and other display partners (advertising), and Cloudflare/LiteSpeed (delivery and security). Each holds its own privacy policy that applies on top of ours.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you can ask us what data we hold on you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email team@whatasleep.com.au and we’ll act within 30 days.

Updates

If we change this policy meaningfully we’ll update the date below. Last reviewed: 4 May 2026.
